I have two real problems with the new IS. One is the hefty price tag, this "small-six" model coming in at a touch under $40,000 and the extremely cramped rear-seat accommodations. The IS is a joy to drive and will return reasonable fuel economy. However, because of its limitations, the market demand for this car will be slight and sales aren't going to take off.
