In interior space and interior materials, Range Rover Sport falls short of its premium price tag.

The Sport lives up to its name--especially in Supercharged form--with performance that matches or beats similarly priced X5 and Cayenne rivals. But a couple of quality gaffs and annoying traits would keep me from recommending it.

There is no way to justify purchasing a Range Rover Sport. But if you've got 70 large to spend, there are bigger mistakes you can make. The Supercharger makes a cool mechanical whine and hustles this bad boy along with decent urgency. There is hardly any body lean, and steering has very nice heft. Range Rover Sport may be a poser, but it's no pretender.
