Infiniti has really upped the ante with its new M. I'd call it a solid Recommended pick, and consider it for Best Buy honors given its price advantage vs. Mercedes, BMW, and even Acura.

Infiniti's new M is an exceptional car. One that is sure to be considered for Best Buy status. The $40,000 base M35 may be the best value of the bunch, but I would have to add the excellent Bose sound system as well. Kudos to Infinti for offering two engines and AWD. Now if they could only find a manual transmission in the parts bin . . .

At ten grand more than its G35x sibling, the price of the M35x might be difficult to justify. But it certainly brings nicer interior appointments and additional standard and optional features, if not significantly more room.
Tom Appel
A low-equipment M35 is an extremely strong value, and a likely Best Buy candidate.
