Redesigned for 2004, these 2-dr spinoffs of Toyota's Camry sedan are unchanged for 2005. Solara offers coupes in SE, SE Sport, and luxury SLE trim, plus SE and SLE convertibles with a standard power top and heated glass rear window. Coupes come with a 4-cyl or V6 engine; convertibles are V6 only. Four-cyl models offer 5-speed manual transmission or optional 4-speed automatic. V6s have standard 5-speed automatic. SE Sports feature unique lower-body styling, performance-tuned suspension, and 17-inch wheels. SLE V6 coupes and both convertibles also have 17-inch wheels; SE and 4-cyl coupes have 16s. All Solaras come with antilock 4-wheel disc brakes and front side airbags. Options include curtain side airbags for coupes and navigation system.
