Powertrain Options and Availability
SE models used a 190-hp 2.7-liter V6 and had rear-wheel drive. SXT versions used a 250-hp V6 and were available with rear-drive or AWD. RT models used a 340-hp 5.7-liter V8 and were also available with rear-drive or AWD. Chrysler called RT's V8 the Hemi, and it features the company's Multi-Displacement System, which deactivates four cylinders under light throttle conditions to save fuel. All Magnums had automatic transmission--the SE a 4-speed, the other models a 5-speed with manual shift gate.
