NHTSA Recall History
2005 STS:
Some vehicles may have a left or right rear suspension toe link that could separate because of an incorrect weld, causing the affected rear wheel to turn unexpectedly. Dealer will replace the toe link and perform a wheel alignment.
2005-06 STS:
Some 2005 and 2006 STS models equipped with the V6 engine may have an inaccurate fuel gauge that won't warn drivers when they are low on fuel. Dealer will reprogram the vehicle's electronic control module (ECM) with new software.
2005-2007:
The rear axle pinion seal may experience a fluid leak. Dealers will replace the pinion seal.
2006 STS:
Some models equipped with all-wheel drive and the V6 engine may have faulty electronic throttle control software that could cause unwanted acceleration. Dealer will reprogram the ECM with new software.
2008 STS and STS-V:
The tire pressure monitoring system is inoperative, and, as such, does not conform to a Federal standard. Dealers will reprogram the remote-control door-lock-receiver module.
