I really can't see much reason to buy the Forester. Who wants a small, semi-useful wagon with mediocre fuel economy and a tepid engine? Add in the fact that the vehicle is overpriced by about $5000 and the Forester quickly becomes one of our worst Best Buys picks.

I think only price prevents this practical Subie from reaching the ranks of Best Buy. 27 large is a hefty price, but this little SUV's inherent goodness justifies it.
