Though slightly more mainstream than the Discovery, LR3 still sacrifices too much dollar value for its Land Rover cachet, and too much on-road performance for its off-road abilities--which few owners will ever fully use.

Certainly a classy way to go, and robust off-road talent is a nice thing to have handy. Price seems stiff and fuel economy is dismal, however. No mistake here, just know what your getting into.
