Freestyle's biggest problem is a sub-standard engine. Ford should be ashamed to have built a vehicle this good with such a underpowered engine. Otherwise Freestyle is an excellent alternative to those gas-guzzling, oversized SUVs that every family seems to fond of these days.

Ford badly needs a better powertrain for this otherwise usefully designed and nearly stylish crossover. More functional than Pacifica and leaner than Explorer, Freestyle is close a recommended badge. The pricing seems reasonable too.
