Vehicle Highlights
This midengine 2-seat sports car has a manual-folding top with a heated glass rear window. A 1.8-liter 4 cyl is the sole engine. Buyers get a choice of a conventional 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed sequential manual transmission (SMT). The SMT uses computer control to eliminate the clutch pedal. A floor-mounted lever moves forward for upshifts, back for downshifts; steering-wheel shift buttons can also control shifting. The SMT has no automatic shift mode, and no conventional automatic transmission is offered. Antilock 4-wheel disc brakes are standard. Side airbags are unavailable. Leather upholstery is optional. A limited-slip differential is newly available as the only change of note for 2004.
