Vehicle Highlights
Suzuki's smallest and oldest SUV comes as a 4-dr wagon with a 165-hp V6. Base versions are called Vitara V6. The higher-priced Grand Vitara wagons come in LX and top-line EX trim. All offer rear-wheel drive or 4WD that must be disengaged on dry pavement but includes low-range gearing. Automatic transmission and antilock brakes are optional on all but Grand Vitara EX 4WD, where they're standard. This Suzuki-sourced body-on-frame design had also been used by the Chevrolet Tracker, which was discontinued after the 2004 model year.
