Vehicle Highlights

Pontiac revives its iconic 1960s "muscle car" for 2004 as a midsize V8 coupe based on a car built by Holden, GM's Australian branch. A modified Chevrolet Corvette V8 drives the GTO's rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission or available 6-speed manual. Antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, traction control, and a limited-slip differential are standard. Seventeen-inch wheels and performance tires are the only available wheel-tire combination. GTO seats four and comes with leather upholstery, in-dash CD changer, and remote keyless entry. Side airbags, sunroof, and antiskid system are unavailable.
