This is a lot of vehicle, in terms of capability and--perhaps unfortunately?--sheer size. But even with a strong V-8, gobs of room, and some extra-cost comfort and safety add-ons, this test vehicle stickered for $39,100 delivered, which struck this tester as a pretty fair price compared to some of its market rivals.

I think our value rating is low. The top model costs $1500 less than the top Expedition or Suburban. This is a fine entry for Nissan. The engine seems to be quite capable and the vehicle dynamics are good for the size. They need to work on their interiors, though.

Hate to say it, but here's another Ho-hum large SUV. Chevy Tahoe and Ford Expedition own this class and the Pathfinder Armada is just another player.

I strongly suggest we back off the "Nissan's strong reputation for reliability" line. Given the interior of our LT Altima, and the quality of trim and assembly here...we may be setting ourselves up for a fall.
