Vehicle Highlights
The ES 300 becomes the ES 330 for 2004, exchanging a 210-hp 3.0-liter V6 for a 225-hp 3.3. The car is otherwise changed only in equipment detail. A 5-speed automatic is the sole transmission and antilock 4-wheel disc brakes are standard. So are front torso and head-protecting curtain side airbags, which are now larger, according to Lexus. Options include power-adjustable pedals, now with memory function, and a revised navigation system. An antiskid/traction-control system is available, as is Lexus' Adaptive Variable Suspension with driver-selectable shock-absorber settings. Among other options are premium Mark Levinson audio, power rear sunshade, CD changer, and xenon headlamps packaged with rain-sensing windshield wipers. The ES shares its basic design with the Camry from Lexus' parent Toyota.
