Like most large SUVs, QX is an excellent highway cruiser that can double as a family vehicle--with some drawbacks. I can't imaging living with this as a daily driver, but it sure is nice for a weekend getaway with the kids. And that engine noise . . . oh it sounds so good! I can't wait 'till Nissan engineers put this V8 into a car!

The size is embarrassing, the price staggering, but for what it is, the QX seems a reasonable value.

The QX56 isn't ready for prime time. Ride quality is bad, interior low buck, and the sticker huge. Sqeaks and rattles don't help the cause. Clearly Nissan rushed these big rigs to market and now it is paying a price. An AN article dated today (6/28/04) noted that every vehicle produced at Smyrna is ranked bottom in its class in JD Powers IQS. Ouch.
