Vehicle Highlights
More standard equipment keynotes the minor changes to M45 for 2004. M45 bridges the size and price gap between Infiniti's V6 G35 and the flagship Q45. Sharing its basic design with a Japanese-market Nissan, the M45 uses the Q45's 4.5-liter V8 and a similar 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift gate. ABS and antiskid/traction control are standard. So are front side airbags and head-protecting curtain side airbags. Newly standard for '04 are a tire-pressure monitor, heated outside mirrors, universal garage-door opener, and a driver-seat memory system. A Technology Package option adds a navigation system and Nissan's Intelligent Cruise Control designed to maintain a set following distance from traffic ahead. Other option packages add voice control for audio, climate, and navigation functions, plus a sunroof and heated and cooled front seats. The M45 comes on 18-inch wheels and offers no suspension options.
