Vehicle Highlights
Hyundai's compact sedan comes in base, GLS, and LX models. Base models offer a 4-cyl engine or a V6. GLS and LX have the V6. The 4 cyl comes with manual transmission or automatic with manual shift gate; the V6 comes only with the automatic. Front side airbags are standard. All models have standard 4-wheel disc brakes; ABS is optional. Traction control is optional on GLS and LX. This South Korean automaker's basic warranty is among the industry's longest: 5-years/60,000-mi. bumper-to-bumper, 10/100,000 powertrain. Sonata shares its mechanical components with the Kia Optima.
