Vehicle Highlights

Hyundai's SUV is unchanged for 2004. The base Santa Fe has a 4-cyl engine and front-wheel drive. The GLS version comes with a 2.7-liter V6. A 3.5 V6 is optional on the GLS and standard on the LX model. V6 models offer front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive without low-range gearing. The 4 cyl comes with manual or automatic transmission, the V6s with automatic only: a 4 speed with the 2.7, a 5 speed with the 3.5. Santa Fe's automatic transmission includes a manual-shift feature. Traction control is standard on the GLS 3.5 and LX, optional on the GLS 2.7. ABS is standard on GLS 3.5 and LX, optional on other models. Front side airbags and 4-wheel disc brakes are standard on all models.
