Vehicle Highlights
Minor revisions update Ford's 2-seat convertible for 2004. Thunderbird comes with a power-folding soft top with heated glass rear window or a removable hardtop with trademark porthole windows. The only powertrain is a 280-hp V8 with 5-speed automatic transmission; optional is a manual-shift feature for the automatic. Antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, traction control, and head-and-torso side airbags are standard. Changes for '04 include a new Light Sand interior trim package, restyled wheels, and the addition of a standard universal garage-door opener. Available features include heated seats and chrome wheels.
