I still feel we don't give the Colorado a fair shake, even though I feel this truck, with its jiggly ZQ8 suspension, is the worst deal in the lineup. At almost $20,000 as equipped, I felt like I was driving a $17,000 pickup. Take the ZQ8 away and you get improved ride and a less-expensive sticker price.

Decent cheapo pickup experience ruined by ZQ8 suspension/tire package. If rating this vehicle, I'd give it a 2 or 3 vs. at least 4 or 5 with base suspension.

I think the Colorado/Canyon is a better vehicle than our report suggests, but as equipped, this tester is a really crummy deal. For 20-large I want decents seats and power windows. While I'm griping, shouldn't a balance-shafted engine sound less like a Fordson than this grunter does? The LS Z85 runs a cool $2000 less than this ZQ8 and seems like a much, much better deal.
