Vehicle Highlights
This vintage-1995-design SUV continues as a lower-priced companion to Chevy's newer, larger, more-powerful TrailBlazer. Blazer comes as a 2-dr and 4-dr wagon in LS trim and as the sporty 2-dr 2WD Xtreme model. All have a 4.3-liter V6 and standard antilock 4-wheel disc brakes. Front side airbags are unavailable. The 2 drs offer manual transmission or optional automatic, 4 drs have automatic only. LSs offer rear-wheel drive or one of two 4WD systems, both with low-range gearing. The base system must be disengaged on dry pavement. Optional Autotrac 4WD can be left engaged on dry pavement. The Xtreme has a low-riding suspension, special trim and cladding, and 16-inch alloy wheels vs. other models' 15s. The ZR2 option for 2-dr models includes a high-riding suspension and 31-inch tires.
