Vehicle Highlights
Heated and cooled front seats and a heated steering wheel are newly available for 2004 in Cadillac's largest car. DeVille comes in base and DHS models with a front bench seat, and as the sportier DTS with front buckets. All use a 4.6-liter V8; it's rated at 300 hp in the DTS, 275 in the others. All have a 4-speed automatic transmission, traction control, ABS, and load-leveling suspension. An antiskid system is standard in DTS, optional elsewhere. Front side airbags that cover the head and torso are standard. Rear side airbags are optional. Previously unavailable on the base model, Cadillac's Night Vision is now optional on all models. Night Vision uses infrared technology to detect heat-generating objects. The heated and cooled front seats, which come with a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats, are standard on DHS and DTS and optional on the base model. GM's OnStar assistance and a tire-pressure monitor are standard. Optional on all DeVilles are rear-obstacle detection and a navigation system. The navigation system incorporates voice recognition and can play entertainment DVDs on the dashboard screen with the transmission in Park. Satellite radio is also optional.
