Powertrain Options and Availability
Two turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines have been available under 9-3 hoods. A 175-horsepower version went into the Linear edition, with a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission. Vector/Aero and Arc models got a 210-hp four-cylinder, with a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic. In 2003, the carryover 9-3 convertible used a 205-hp engine, with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. For 2006, a turbocharged V6 was added and made available on Aero models.
