Engines rev freely, but lack low-speed power for good performance with automatic transmission. With manual, the LS does 0-60 mph in 8.3 seconds, the GS-R in 7.6.

Commendable with manual transmission. Our test LS averaged nearly 25 mpg, a GS-R 28.3. Expect less with automatic.
RIDE QUALITY
| LS hatch, man. | GS sdn, auto. | GS-R hatch, man. | Type R | Class Average |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 3.2 |
Firm, but comfortable and controlled. Coupes' shorter wheelbase causes more abrupt reaction to bumps.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 6.8 |
Nimble and fun to drive, thanks to sharp steering and minimal body lean.
QUIETNESS
| LS hatch, man. | GS sdn, auto. | GS-R hatch, man. | Type R | Class Average |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 3 |
Tire noise is prominent and engine noise intrudes at high speeds, but Integras are otherwise quiet.

Ample space for most adults, but snug for larger folks. The sunroof limits head room for 6-footers.

| LS hatch, man. | GS sdn, auto. | GS-R hatch, man. | Type R | Class Average |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 1.3 |
Coupes' backseat is for preteens only. Sedans have more leg room, but lack shoulder width and head room for three adults.

Integra is a premium small car that offsets relatively high prices with fine reliability, strong resale value, and loads of driving fun. Acura also offers a longer warranty and more comprehensive customer service than many makes, Honda included. The Integra 2-door is far more popular than the sedan and rates as a solid, if aging, choice among sports coupes.
