Engine temperature:
The powertrain-control module (computer) will be replaced if the engine idles too high, surges or hesitates when the A/C cycles or the vehicle decelerates harshly. (1998)
Vehicle noise:
A creaking noise may be caused by the mounts between the cab and the frame allowing metal-metal contact. New mounts are available. (1998)

4WD models may make a pinging noise when accelerating due to a loose yoke nut on the transfer case. (1998-2000)

Poor connections in multifunction switch may prevent wipers from being switched off. (1999-2000)
