Trouble Spots
Consumer Guide's® Auto Editors have scoured repair bulletins and questioned mechanics to search for commonly occurring problems for a particular vehicle. In some cases we also give possible manufacturer-suggested solutions. In many instances these trouble spots are Technical Service Bulletins posted by the manufacturer, however, we have our own expert looking at additional vehicle problems.
Brake noise: The rear disc brakes are prone to squealing or squeaking. A shim kit has been released. (1992-94)
Hard starting: Hard or no starting, and possibly no cooling fan, may be caused by corrosion of a splice in the wiring harness near the left headlight caused by water getting into the wiring. (1990-94)
Vehicle shake: Severe vehicle shake and vibration may require replacement of the engine and transmission mounts. (1990-94)

The dollar amount includes the cost of the part(s) and labor (based on $50 per hour) for the typical repair without extras or add-ons.
