MINI announced the MINI Sidewalk option package for convertible models at the Detroit Auto Show. Available in spring 2007 at a price of $4000, the Sidewalk package will include special alloy wheels (16-inch diameter for the base model, 17s for the S), malt brown leather sport seats, and unique interior surface trim and graphics. An antiskid system, a center armrest, a Harmon/Kardon sound system, and chrome interior trim are also bundled with the package. S models get xenon headlights as well.

Like other MINI convertibles, base models with the Sidewalk package will have a 115-horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, and S models will come with a 168-horsepower supercharged 1.6.
