Ford's upscale Lincoln division revealed the MKR Concept at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show. MKR is a "four-door coupe" that showcases various design cues Lincoln hopes to employ on its future vehicles. Some of those cues include: cleaner surfaces, distinct grilles with double-wing openings; thin, horizontal tail lamps that run from one side to the other; and C-pillars that offer visual transition to the roofline. The concept car rides on 21-inch tires with the Lincoln star in the treads. Under the hood is Ford's new "TwinForce" 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine that produces 415 horsepower and runs on E85 ethanol fuel.

MKR's interior makes use of renewable resources. The seats are made of soy foam, and the carpet is Mohair. Ice-blue lighting dominates the interior, from the backlighting of the gauges to the door panels, foot wells, seats, and center console. As MKR is a design exercise, don't count on a production version of a vehicle similar to this. More likely to see the light of day are some of the styling cues and TwinForce engine.
